New York City pianist Richard X Bennett brings his own unique musical spirit to the Hindustani classical tradition. Choosing ragas both mysterious and serene, he weaves a sonic tapestry that will envelop as well as transport the listener. After multiple tours of India as well as performances on all of the world's continents, elements of east and west as well as African polyrhythms can be heard on these free variations of classic ragas. Here is his debut solo recording, an unprescedented musical offering.
